A spokesperson for Promise Advanced Proteomics responded to [iito] Business Intelligence that Promise is a 51% subsidiary of PX'Therapeutics. Promise licensed its patented PSAQ method from CEA, which also holds an interest in the company.

Promise Advanced Proteomics uses a QTrap4000 (AB SCIEX) to analyse biologcial samples containing the PSAQ standard. For quality control of the PSAQ an Orbitrap (Thermo Scientific) is used. Routinely this is an OrbiTrap XL, but the company also has an OrbiTrap Discovery. The QTrap4000 is also used to control the incorporation of labelled amino acids.
