Cerilliant Corporation announces the addition of a Waters Xevo G2 QTOF LC-MS/MS instrument to its Quality Control laboratory. The Q-TOF mass spectrometer is a hybrid quadruple time-of-flight mass spectrometer with MS/MS capability that can accurately detect a wide range of mass (20-100000 Da). The time-of-flight (TOF) analyzer provides extremely high mass resolution sufficient to obtain specific molecular formula for a given sample adding to Cerilliant's capabilities in the identification of unknown impurities and substances. The ability to quantitate by mass spectral fragmentation and accurate mass allows for quantitation in samples where background substances may be high. The simultaneous identification and quantitation allows for the detection and identification of impurities in pharmaceuticals, Cerilliant-manufactured products and other customer-specific products.

This fully qualified, state-of-the-art equipment significantly enhances Cerilliant's capabilities in pharmaceutical analysis and new product development.
