Sirius Fine Chemicals SiChem GmbH. (4/10). "Press Release: Innovative Test System for the Detection of Groundwater- and Soil-damaging Materials Funded by BMWi. SiChem GmbH Receives 100,000 EUR from the German Federal Ministry of Economics".

The focus will be the synthesis of long-needed isotope-bearing compounds of hazardous compounds and their biologically relevant metabolites. The new analytical system BACTRAP is meant to be applied to existing waste depositories as well as general evaluation of relevant chemicals in the environment.

Partners in this effort are Isodetect GmbH in Munich and the Center for Environmental Research at the University of Leipzig (UFZ). SiChem aims to widen its service and expertise in the area of analytical standards. Homepage: www.isodetect.de
