Genedata expands global presence to operate in close proximity to new and long-standing customers in the region

Genedata, a leading provider of advanced software solutions for biopharmaceutical and related life science R&D, today announced the establishment of a new Genedata subsidiary, Genedata Pte. Ltd., in Singapore. The creation of the Singaporean subsidiary demonstrates Genedata’s commitment to operate in close physical proximity to its rapidly growing client base in Asia and Australia, regions with very promising growth potential.

Singapore’s geographic location, together with its focus on life sciences R&D and its well-educated workforce, made it a natural choice for the new subsidiary office. A market leader in Europe and the US for enterprise software solutions for biopharmaceutical companies, Genedata has seen significant growth in recent years of their customer-base in the Asia Pacific region. The new Singapore office perfectly positions the company to further expand its role in the region. The Singaporean team, headed by Chung Ping Chow, Managing Director of Genedata Pte. Ltd., is able to provide local support and is backed by resources from the entire global Genedata organization.

"We are a long-standing customer of Genedata, and their software and services have been great in terms of flexibility and functional capabilities to support our biopharma workflows. We are excited to now have a local Genedata office and look forward to extending our collaboration in the future," commented Dr. Bi Xuezhi, Senior Scientist of Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI), Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore.

“We have been using Genedata software for our omics data analysis workflows for more than 10 years and the software has become an indispensable part of our data analysis workflows. It is great to see Genedata’s commitment to the region by opening a new office in Singapore,” said Dr. Simone Rochfort, Research Leader for Molecular Phenomics at the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, Australia.

“The new office in Singapore is the logical next step to support our rapidly growing customer base in the Asia Pacific region,” commented Dr. Othmar Pfannes, CEO of Genedata. “The establishment of our Singaporean team demonstrates our commitment to further grow our business in Asia and Australia and supports our strategy of operating in close proximity to our customers to enable better collaborations around the globe.”
