[iito] Business Intelligence, a German business intelligence provider focussed solely on the worldwide life sciences market, announces that Marcus Lippold, head of [iito] Business Intelligence, will not stand for re-election to the Board of the Business Association "Life Sciences Bremen" (LSB). The LSB will hold its regular annual meeting today and the LSB members have already been informed of this decision. Mr. Lippold has been elected to the LSB Board in 2009 for a regular 2-year term.

Marcus Lippold comments: "I have very much enjoyed the last two years working for and with the life sciences companies of the Federal State of Bremen, Germany, together with my Board colleagues Dr. Claus Beninga and Dr. Boris Oberheitmann. We have tried to promote the strengths of the Bremen life sciences region, and especially its world-wide leading position in mass spectrometry, and to make this regional focus on high-tech analytical and diagnostics technologies more widely publicly known in Bremen, in Germany, and beyond."

"In addition to doing public relations work and organising a regular, regional networking event, the 'Bremer Life Sciences Forum', the LSB also established networking contacts with other life sciences clusters in Northern Germany and with BIO Deutschland, the association of German biotechnology companies, which the LSB joined in late 2009."

Mr. Lippold adds "As our own business has strongly expanded within the last two years, my business as well as private obligations, regretfully at the moment do not allow for a voluntary engagement of this scale. However, as a LSB member I will certainly continue to support the integration of the life sciences in Bremen into the Northern German and national context, which, in my opinion, is truly a matter of utmost importance for a successful international positioning of the excellent high-technology knowledge that exists in our region."

[iito] Business Intelligence launched its first free web portal Mass-Spec-Capital.com in March 2010. This spring [iito] introduced a second web portal for the life sciences in German-speaking Europe called Life-Sciences-Germany.com and entered the social media space with regular tweets at htttp://www.twitter.com/iitoLifeScience. In addition, [iito] is preparing for the launch of a third web portal at the Biotechnica 2011 in October in Hannover. The new portal will be a larger project than both existent web portals taken together.

The core business of [iito] is a customised business intelligence service for the senior management of life sciences companies, called gene-sensor.com, or [gs], launched in early 2004. The proprietary and groundbreaking [gs] database system powers all [iito] offerings, including all web portals introduced more recently.
