Last year, MRM Proteomics released the first kits for end-to-end standardization and quality control of MRM-MS targeted proteomics workflows. First offered for the Agilent 6490 LC-MS/MS (standard-flow and nano-flow), MRM Proteomics has now expanded its product line to include kits for the AB SCIEX QTRAP 4000 and QTRAP 6500 LC-MS/MS instruments.

Two types of kits together provide end-to-end standardization for targeted proteomics experiments: the Instrument Performance kits and the Workflow Performance kit. All kits are optimized for use with human plasma proteomics.

The monthly Instrument Performance kit allows for comprehensive assessment and facilitates calibration and troubleshooting of instrument performance for accurate MRM-MS results. The daily Instrument Performance kit offers a simplified format regular evaluation of instrument performance, which is particularly important when conducting multi-day experiments.

The Workflow Performance kit is used to evaluate the reproducibility of your entire MRM-MS workflow including instrument performance (i.e., all steps from denaturation to digestion all the way through MS detection).
