The Massachusetts Biotechnology Council today announced a collaboration with Boston-based Overbrook Support Services, an innovative and integrated full service maintenance and qualification services provider of multi-platform analytical instrumentation.

In joining the already robust MassBio Purchasing Consortium as a Primary Supplier for Analytical Instrumentation Maintenance, Overbrook is the single source for multi-platform laboratory instrumentation offering maintenance and qualification services of laboratory instrumentation. Instrumentation includes LCMSMS, LCMS, ICPMS, ICP, IC, GCMS, GC, HPLC, and other Group C instrumentation.

"It is no secret that our members are using highly sophisticated advanced instruments to undertake the cutting-edge research necessary to find new therapies and cures," said Robert K. Coughlin, President & CEO of MassBio. "I am thrilled to partner with the team at Overbrook, who provide vital and best-in-class service for the life sciences community."

The Overbrook/MassBio Agreement covers Instrument Group C. By choosing one provider who consolidates all of your instrument service, repair and compliance into one package MassBio members can achieve scientific and financial operational goals.

MassBio members will benefit from Overbrook's highly skilled engineers that specialize on their respective platforms including Agilent, Applied Biosystems/MDS Sciex, Thermo, and Waters/Micromass. Overbrook Support Services include Contract and Per Incident Maintenance including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), Lab Moves, Relocation and Installations, Bench Repair, and an extensive Parts inventory.

The MassBio Purchasing Consortium leverages the power of the collective membership to negotiate contracts with vendors that save member companies significant amounts of money. Current consortium contracts include bulk gases, packaged cylinder gases, chemical and biomedical waste removal, lab supplies, office supplies, lab equipment maintenance, lab recycling, travel services, shipping and energy & natural gas procurement.
