PANATecs, the ISO- and GMP-certified service specialist for mass spectrometric-based protein analysis, will be present once again at the special exhibition of the Forum Life Science Congress on 23 - 24.3.2011 in Garching.

PANATecs offers solutions to important problems related to mass spectrometric protein analysis, particularly for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This includes characterization in accordance with ICH of therapeutic proteins, such as glycoproteins and antibody products.

According to Dr. Burkhard Fleckenstein, Laboratory Manager an PANATecs: "On 24.3.2011 between 11:35 and 12:00, we are holding a short lecture for visitors to the Forum Life Science Congress on the potential for the determination of protease contaminants". (Link Abstract)

Proteases are often the cause of problems in the preparation of kits for diagnostic testing or in protein purification. However, if proteins are recognized and identified in good time, they may be blocked by the addition of specific inhibitors or inactivated by thermal treatment.

The P-CHECK technology developed by PANATecs is suitable for all areas in which the rapid, sensitive and specific detection of protease activity is necessary or desirable.
