The NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen is an extramural research institution, based at the interface of life sciences and material sciences. Since its foundation in 1985, research is conducted application-oriented. At the NMI an interdisciplinary team of scientists is developing new technologies in the areas of pharma and biotechnology, biomedical technology, and surface and materials technology. Personalization, biologization, miniaturization and digitalization are both the goal of NMIs work and the guiding principles of the research being carried out there. *
