PerkinElmer, Inc. (NYSE: PKI), a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced the extension of their OneSource Laboratory Services contract with Minerva Scientific, a specialist pharmaceutical testing laboratory based in Derbyshire, UK.

In order to maintain a competitive edge, independent testing laboratories are under increasing pressure to reduce project turnaround times. PerkinElmer has been providing Minerva Scientific solutions for maximizing instrument uptime since 2003.

Understanding the needs of analytical testing companies, OneSource Laboratory Services facilitates faster and higher sample throughput through multi-vendor instrument repair, maintenance and qualification. Minerva Scientific deploys a range of analytical instrumentation from ubiquitous Liquid Chromatography (LC), Gas Chromatography (GC) and Infrared (IR) systems to more specialized Liquid Chromatography /Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) and LC/MS/MS systems to provide pharmaceutical product release testing, quality assurance (QA), stability testing and analytical method development.
