Shimadzu Biotech. (5/01). "Press Release: New Appointment at Shimadzu Biotech. Key Role Aids Development of a Unified Solution to Drug Discovery and Proteomics".
Shimadzu Biotech, a newly formed business unit of Shimadzu Corporation, has recently appointed a new Applications Laboratory Manager to head up its applications facility housed within Kratos Analytical in Manchester. This is part of the unit's strategy to bring together products from both Shimadzu Corporation and Kratos Analytical to provide scientists with a unified solution to drug discovery and proteomics, and to develop exciting new technologies to advance research in this field.
Rachel Martin will take full responsibility for biotechnology applications in Manchester and USA, and also for the MALDI applications programme worldwide.
Shimadzu Biotech's MALDI TOF Business Manager, Frank Trundle, remarked: "Rachel's role is a key function that will assist the progress of our business development strategy, and help us achieve our objectives within the life science and drug discovery market sectors."
