Bruker Daltonics, Inc.. (2/21/00). "Press Release: Bruker Daltonics APEX III™ FTMS". Billerica, MA.
Bruker Daltonics, Inc. announces the APEX III Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometer (FTMS) designed for the Life Sciences. The APEX III is the most recent innovation in the Bruker Daltonics APEX product line, widely considered the leader in FTMS instrumentation worldwide.
Features new to the APEX III include a dramatically re-designed vacuum cart with a compact footprint for easy siting in almost any laboratory; an available 9.4 Tesla Actively Shielded magnet (rounding out our shielded magnets at 3.0, 4.7, 7.0, and 9.4T, further reducing the system's footprint); an all-new conveniently-designed IRMPD option; the new APOLLOTM ESI source; and new the SCOUT 100TM fully-automated 100 target X-Y stage MALDI source.
The APEX III is ideal for high-performance automation and cutting-edge research applications, providing the unique combination of routine ultra-high resolution, routine < 2 ppm external mass accuracy, automated MSn, excellent sensitivity and high throughput. Moreover, in many applications, the APEX III can use ultra-high resolution to eliminate LC separations required by other MS methods for the analysis of complex sample matrices. Powerful software tools such as HYSTARTM tame even the most difficult analytical challenges.
By applying HPLC and automation technologies to Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry (FTMS), Bruker Daltonics has brought the APEX product line to industrial drug discovery and biotech research laboratories.
