INPROCESS INSTRUMENTS (Germany) now offers a new ATEX approved version of the high performance GAM 300 process mass spectrometer for on-line gas analysis in Zones 1 and 2.

The GAM 300-ATEX is EC-type examination certified using a Universal Cabinet (TÜV 04ATEX2403) from BARTEC-BENKE (Germany). For the Ex proved cabinet of the GAM 300-ATEX simply instrument air is required for purging. This eliminates the necessity of oxygen monitoring in the analyser shelter. The instrument with Ex protection type II 2G EEXP II T4 is suitable for numerous applications, especially for synthesis control in the chemical and petrochemical industry (e.g. ethylene, ethylene oxide, ammonia, methanol and others), and in areas such as bulk gas analysis or gas analysis in blast furnaces and steel converters.

The data exchange via Profibus or other interfaces together with industrial proved mass spectrometric and system components guarantees automatic operation with long-term calibration and maintenance intervals. The built-in PC with panel mounted touch-screen allows easy on-site monitoring, inspection and diagnosis of the GAM 300-ATEX, which is in full compliance to the directive 94/9/EC (ATEX).
