Welcome to a new chapter in proteome research - the use of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue for the study of protein expression.

The world is full of well documented archival tissue collections - with clinical history, disease progression, drug response, toxicology and so on! These collections have been an untapped resource for proteome analysis - a locked treasure chest used only for histology and some nucleic acid work!

EPI's new patent pending Liquid Tissue™ MS Protein Prep Kit allows you to extract total protein directly from FFPE tissue for mass spectrometry analyses across a number of different MS platforms.

The Liquid Tissue™ MS Protein Prep Kit compares very favorably with the most recent results currently derived from other biological samples. Each kit contains reagents and consumables to prepare four samples yielding a tryptic digest suitable for direct analysis using for example LC-MS, SELDI or MALDI-TOF*.
