Mobilion Systems, Inc.. (2/13/25). "Press Release: Mobilion Systems to Present Advanced Proteomics Capabilities with New PAMAF Operating Mode at US HUPO 2025". Chadds Ford, PA.

MOBILion Systems, Inc., a leader in separation science innovation, today announced its participation in the 21st Annual US HUPO Conference, taking place February 22-26, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA. MOBILion will showcase its new Parallel Accumulation with Mobility Aligned Fragmentation (PAMAF) operating mode through multiple scientific presentations, demonstrating increased speed and sensitivity of LC-MS analysis for proteomics applications.

"Our PAMAF operating mode enables researchers to make more accurate analytical measurements and achieve deeper proteome characterization, supporting scientific discovery in critical areas of human health research," said Melissa Sherman, Ph.D., CEO of MOBILion Systems. "By replacing quadrupole isolation with high-resolution ion mobility separation, PAMAF generates fragmentation data with 10x higher signal-to-noise and 5x faster speeds than conventional systems. With essentially 100 percent ion utilization, PAMAF is particularly valuable for sample-limited workflows, including single-cell proteomics applications. MOBILion's participation at US HUPO 2025 reflects our commitment to advancing proteomics research through innovative separation science."

MOBILion Presents PAMAF Mode at US HUPO 2025, Advancing Proteomics with Faster, More Sensitive LC-MS Analysis

Researchers will give presentations demonstrating how PAMAF's capabilities extend beyond traditional LC-MS approaches, highlighting how it reduces chimeric spectra to improve protein quantification and post-translational modification analysis.

An educational breakfast seminar will feature Prof. Birgit Schilling, from The Buck Institute for Research on Aging, presenting research on succinylation levels in a sirtuin-5 knockout mouse model for chronic kidney disease (CKD). Using MOBILion's PAMAF mode, Prof. Schilling's team identified hundreds of differentially regulated succinylation sites that may contribute to phenotypic protection against kidney diseases.
