mzio GmbH. (4/16/25). "Press Release: mzio GmbH Enters Strategic Collaboration with Functional Genomics Center Zurich to Advance Development of Metabolomics and Lipidomics Tools". Bremen.

mzio GmbH is proud to announce a new partnership with the Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ), the multi-omics platform of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, to support and expand the use of mzmine in untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics applications.

As part of this collaboration, FGCZ is adopting and integrating mzmine PRO into their analytical workflows. This marks a significant step in mzio’s mission to empower the scientific community with robust, open-source tools for transparent, reproducible, and scalable mass spectrometry data analysis.

Our collaboration with FGCZ reinforces our shared vision: Making cutting-edge mass spectrometry data analysis tools more accessible, interoperable, and aligned with FAIR principles. We’re excited to support FGCZ in delivering high-quality metabolomics services to researchers across Switzerland and beyond.

Through this partnership, mzio is also eager to learn from FGCZ’s deep expertise in user-centered analytical workflows and advanced LC-MS methodologies, helping us further refine mzmine to better support real-world research needs.

The collaboration will kick off with the 1st mzmine workshop at FGCZ: Untargeted LC-MS Data Analysis for Metabolomics and Lipidomics.

The workshop, held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, is open to everyone and will be led by mzio CTO Dr. Steffen Heuckeroth.
