PREMIER Biosoft today announced the release of SimGlycan 5.90. The new version is about five times faster than the last version and allows for more accurate glycan identification with the updated algorithms. Additionally, SimGlycan now offers an intuitive data analysis automation interface.

The key features included are:

> More Efficient LC-MS Peak Picking Algorithm: Accurate identification of isotopic envelopes for LC-compounds, thereby enabling correct precursor m/z and charge state assignment for MS/MS scans

> Target Peak Detection: Submit an inclusion list for target peak detection and molecular feature finding

"Mass spectrometry is one of the best tools for glycomics research. However, the huge datasets generated by high-resolution LC-MS based workflows increases the complexity of data interpretation.
