SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Analytical Perspectives of North Carolina, LLC (AP) in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA. The company specializes in the ultra-trace analysis of various persistent organic pollutants using isotope-dilution technology and high-resolution gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry. AP helps customers meet environmental regulatory and process discovery requirements using USEPA-compliant methodologies and where it is possible to effectively extract compounds of customer interest.

AP provides state of the art analytical methodology with future leaning quality (for accuracy, precision, and delivery) coupled with fast turn-around times and proprietary capabilities and tools unavailable at other laboratories. Founded in 1999 and privately owned, AP employs 33 highly skilled professionals, including graduate and post-graduate chemists. It generated revenues in 2011 of US$ 5.3 million.
