Dr. Helena Kandarova was appointed as Director at the Institute of Experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Centre of Experimental Medicine (CEM), Slovak Academy of Science, in 2023.

Before that she was an Executive Director of MatTek In Vitro Life Science Laboratories, part of BICO. She is also a member of Executive Board of CEM, and since 2020 also a President of ESTIV (European Society for Toxicology in Vitro, re-elected for a 2nd term in 2024).
