The Berlin-based manufacturer of high-tech laboratory instruments KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH has appointed its previous head of global sales Carsten Losch as managing director effective April 1, 2021.

Mr. Losch, who in his current position has been very successful in providing new momentum for the worldwide sales of the family-owned business founded in 1962, will take over the management of the company in addition to his current role. The owner and to date sole managing director Alexandra Knauer will take over the chairmanship of the management and from this point on will jointly manage the company with Mr. Losch.

"With this decision, I see KNAUER very well positioned, as Mr. Losch combines high professional competence with detailed knowledge of the laboratory industry market and I am very much looking forward to an even closer cooperation," said Alexandra Knauer.

Carsten Losch started his career at KNAUER in 2011 in the field sales force and took over the management of the field sales for the DACH region in 2013, before taking over the management of worldwide sales in 2015.
